We are a husband and wife team that shares the same unbridled passion for marketing and helping small businesses achieve profitable measurable results.  With Roanoke as our playground, we are constantly uncovering new adventures and seeking inspiration around us!

Tracy J. Matherly

Tracy Matherly began her career in Upstate New York working in Print Media along with such clients like Sony, Pfizer Pharmaceutical, and Baccarat. 

She then pursued a different path as a Marketing Manager in the manufacturing industry learning all there is to know about the eyecare business while creating captivating and compelling marketing campaigns and messages that achieved profitable results. 

She proceeded to move to South Carolina and joined an IT Risk Management firm crafting marketing strategies to build brand awareness before entering the steam distribution business as a Strategic Communications and Content Manager. 

Captivated by this industry and seeing how small businesses struggle with fulfilling their marketing needs she decided to leave her career and to utilize her expertise in the entrepreneurial world.  Combining her sales and marketing experience with her underlying passion for helping others succeed, Tracy Matherly co-founded Brainstorm Marketing partners, a full-service marketing agency dedicated to helping small business

A graduate of Arizona State University in the school of Engineering, David Matherly began his career in sales and industrial product management.  While having a passion for launching products and a drive to bring a company’s brand to the next level,  he found a talent in technical writing.  He has published numerous articles in various trade magazines such as Flow Control Magazine, Valve magazine, and Fluid Power Journal. 

Passionate by the creative flair of writing, David Matherly became inspired to help businesses who faced the challenge of transforming complex technical information into understandable and relevant content for a specific audience.

​Given his analytical spirit, David Matherly became fascinated by the creative space and decided to join forces with Tracy Matherly to combine their individual skill-sets and form Brainstorm Marketing Partners.
